How PacerList works

PacerList helps college coaches discover distance-running recruits, shortlist them, and reach out — built for college programs.

  1. 1. Create your program account

Sign up with your school email and tell us which program you coach — men's, women's, or both. Coach accounts are invite-only during early access.

  2. 2. Get verified

Every coach is verified before they can contact athletes. School (.edu) emails are fast-tracked; otherwise we review and approve your account so athletes know they're hearing from a real college program.

  3. 3. Search and filter athletes

Find recruits by event, personal best, graduation year, state, and academics. Every athlete's public profile shows their PR progression, projected college freshman times, and optional Strava training load — so you're evaluating trajectory, not just a single race result.

  4. 4. Build your recruiting board

Shortlist athletes onto your board to track who you're recruiting. On the Program plan your whole staff shares one board, filterable by men's and women's.

  5. 5. Express interest

Let an athlete know you're recruiting them: they get an email and an in-app notification. PacerList doesn't host coach–athlete messages yet, so any conversation then happens off the platform (by phone or email you share). Private, monitored in-app messaging — with verified guardian consent for athletes under 18 — is coming soon.

  6. 6. Add your staff

On the Program plan, invite assistant coaches by email to share your recruiting board, with head-coach oversight of the program's activity.

  7. 7. Put your program on the map

Claim your school or add it if it's missing, so your program shows up in athletes' searches and filters.
