How PacerList works
PacerList helps student-athletes find the right college running program — and manage the whole recruiting process from search to commitment.
1. Search and filter schools
Browse 1,000+ NCAA running programs. Filter by division, conference, region, and sport to narrow down to the schools that match what you're looking for. You can browse without an account — sign in to unlock saved filters and preferences.
2. Filter by your major
Athletics matter, but so does your degree. Filter schools by the academic programs they offer so your shortlist only includes schools where you can run and study what you want.
3. Check the running environment
Every city is graded on its running environment — terrain, trails, and climate. Use the grade to understand where you'll actually be training for the next four years.
4. Build and rank your shortlist
Save schools you're interested in, drag to rank them, and add private notes. Move each school through your recruiting pipeline — from Researching and Interested to Emailed Coach, Visit Scheduled, Applied, and Committed.
5. Track your times
Log personal bests by event and year, and keep a full race log — your log automatically flags your PR in each event. On All-Access, a projection graphs your times through senior year and estimates your college freshman equivalent so you and coaches can see where you're heading.
6. Share your athlete profile
Your public profile shows your academics, test scores, personal bests, race log, and optional Strava training load — giving coaches a full picture beyond just race results. When you commit, your profile shows it. Your saved schools and private notes always stay private.
7. Get help drafting your first email
Reaching out to a coach for the first time is the hardest part. The built-in email assistant helps you draft a personalized first email — choose a tone, pull in your stats and PRs, and add your profile link — so you have a strong starting point to edit and make your own before you send.
